What is providence religious movement?

The Providence religious movement is an offshoot of the Unification Church (also known as the Moonies) founded by Reverend Sun Myung Moon. It began in the 1980s as a result of disagreements between some members of the Unification Church and Moon himself. The movement emphasizes the importance of family and the traditional values of marriage and child-rearing.

Providence places great importance on the concept of "true love" as the foundation of all life and human relationships. It also emphasizes the value of self-sacrifice, discipline, and hard work.

Unlike the Unification Church, which is often viewed as a cult, Providence emphasizes a more mainstream and wholesome image. Members of Providence are encouraged to pursue higher education and professional careers.

The Providence movement has been active in various parts of the world, including the United States, South Korea, Japan, and Europe. Like the Unification Church, Providence has faced criticism for its practices and alleged manipulation of its members.
